Here are some of the most common changes we see in adults:

1. Bottom teeth crowding: With age, the jawbone loses density and shrinks. This change can lead to crowding of the bottom front teeth. 
2. Gap in front teeth: No doubt you’ve seen people with a space between their two front teeth — a condition that can develop for a number of reasons including crowding of teeth, unproportioned upper and lower jaw, gum disease, and even the way your tongue pushes against your teeth can cause them to separate over time.
3. Post-orthodontic teeth shifting: After orthodontic treatment, a retainer needs to be used to keep teeth in position. Over the years, if teeth are restored or lost, new proper fitting retainers will be needed to prevent unwanted change.
4. Bad bite: This happens when your upper and lower jaw don’t align (malocclusion), which can also lead to other health problems including headaches, and clicking and popping jaw joints.
